Light guide vs “just LEDs behind plastic”

Even glow usually needs a light guide or a controlled cavity, not a single LED behind a logo. Color (white, amber, brand color) should be a sample decision. Photos of a competitor’s lamp help; they do not replace your voltage.

Sampling is not optional

Approve light and metal/plastic finish. A daytime chrome sample and a night photo of a different unit are not the same approval. Timeline still follows mockup → sample → bulk, with extra engineering days when sealing or connectors are new. See MOQ and sampling.

What stays a factory decision

We will tell you if the artwork is too fine to light evenly, or if the requested thickness cannot hold a sealed LED pack. That is cheaper than tooling a badge that only works on a bench.
